The England defender has continued to impress for Crystal Palace despite a previous move to Liverpool falling through. With his deal due to expire in the summer, January is the London club's final chance to secure a fee for their captain. A host of top clubs, such as Manchester City and several European giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, are believed to be interested. Yet, a January departure is considered difficult, especially given the manager's reliance on the player.

Brennan Johnson

The Welsh forward has had first-team minutes hard to come by at Tottenham this campaign. Despite being the club's top scorer the previous campaign, Johnson has started only a handful of Premier League matches. Reports suggest the North London outfit would be open to a transfer for the correct valuation, believed to be in the around £40 million. The Cherries are currently leading the chase, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford additionally showing an interest.

R. Neves

The Portugal midfielder might be set for a comeback to the Premier League following a period in Saudi Arabia. Still only 28, while his contract ending in the summer, he is a possible opportunity. Clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United are connected to the former Wolves man. Furthermore, there are rumours from Spain that he is prepared to take a reduced salary for a switch to Real Madrid.

Marc-André ter Stegen

The experienced German shot-stopper finds himself as third-choice at Barcelona under the manager Hansi Flick. After lost his place and had an operation, a January departure seems highly probable. Aston Villa were once mentioned as a potential suitor, but that move now appears off. Instead, clubs from Saudi Arabia and Turkey are thought to be showing curiosity in the keeper.

Ivan Toney

The prolific England striker has continued scoring frequently in Saudi Arabia. A return to the Premier League might boost his dwindling chances of being in the national squad. With his current deal nearing its end, many English clubs – such as Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool – are keeping tabs on the developments. Juventus are desperate to tie down the 20-year-old to a lengthy contract but face a race to retain one of the continent's brightest prospects.

Kees Smit

This highly-touted Dutch midfielder has drawn parallels to Kevin De Bruyne for his style of play. Following impressing at the Under-19 European Championship, Smit has broken into the AZ Alkmaar first team. The teenager is heavily expected to complete a major move this month. Newcastle United are believed to be leading the chase, but could face strong competition from the Spanish champions for a deal priced at approximately £22 million.
